Rustic Alm with a fantastic panorama of the Tux Alps

The ascent from Hintertux takes only about 45 minutes and is also easily manageable with a stroller. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, take the glacier lift up to Sommerbergalm and then stroll gently downhill to the Klausner family's Alm. Also ideal for families.

At the top, delicious Zillertal delicacies, homemade cakes, and a panoramic view that rewards every climb await you.

Bichlalm in Winter

Tobogganing on an award-winning run

In winter, a family-friendly hiking trail leads to the alpine hut. From there, you can toboggan back down the almost three-kilometer-long, illuminated toboggan run. Toboggan rental is available directly at the alpine hut.

Approximately 3 km illuminated toboggan run, ascent takes about 45 minutes.

Open Sunday to Friday until 6:00 PM, also open in the evenings from Tuesday to Friday. Closed on Saturdays.

Ski-in and Ski-out

Directly to Bichlalm on skis

Skiers can easily reach the Bichlalm on skis and ski directly in from the slopes. After a refreshment stop, it's just as easy to ski back down to the valley run.

Convenient ski-in access, no need to unbuckle.

The path to the Alm is well-tracked and groomed daily.

Frequently asked questions about the Bichlalm

Where is the Bichlalm located?

The Bichlalm is located in the Hintertux ski area with a direct view of the Hintertux Glacier. It is managed by the Klausner family, the same owners of the Jagdhof Pure Mountain Apartments.

The Bichlalm can be reached on foot in about 30 to 45 minutes. Private cars are strictly prohibited on the access road; access is permitted only by taxi, which must be arranged independently.

Yes, the Bichlalm is open to all guests and is not limited to those staying at the hotel.

When is the Bichlalm open in the summer?

In summer, the Bichlalm is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no days off. During the day, only groups require a reservation.

What are the winter opening hours for the Bichlalm?

In winter, the Bichlalm is open from Sunday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are also open in the evenings on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Saturday is our day off, with the exception of Christmas and New Year's Eve.

What is the specialty night at the Bichlalm?

The specialty night takes place every Thursday during the winter and features a regional buffet with Tyrolean delicacies. We kindly ask that you make a reservation for this evening.

What is the rib night at the Bichlalm?

The rib night takes place every Friday evening during the winter and is available by advance order with a confirmed reservation only. We serve ribs with homemade sauces, baked potatoes, coleslaw, and bread. Many guests combine the evening with a night sledding session afterward.

Do I need to reserve a table?

Reservations are not necessary during the day, though groups do need to book a table in advance during the summer. For winter evenings, especially for our specialty and rib nights, we kindly ask that you make a reservation.
